At the next Business Roundtable, Dave Madsen, will help us discuss the answer to this question: “Is social media and texting creating a new world of “illiterate communicators?”Madsen, now in his second year at Morningside, teaches classes in Public Relations, Media Management and Introduction to Mass Communication. In his “previous life,” Madsen was Station Manager at KTIV-TV, having also served over his 29 years at the station in supervisory roles in programming, operations, promotion and engineering. In his presentation, Madsen will discuss issues surrounding the use of social media in the workplace, specifically how a younger generation may not realize the difference btwn txtng & more 4ml biz comm LOL. (between texting and more formal business communication).
