Ribbon Cutting - Siouxland Habitat for Humanity
Siouxland Habitat for Humanity seeks to put God’s love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope. They serve five counties – Woodbury, Plymouth, Sioux, Dakota and Union – and since their establishment in 1992, they have helped make homeownership possible for more than 70 area families. They work with their partner families to provide a “hand up” not a “hand out”. Their families go through a selection process and must meet certain criteria to move forward with homeownership including, having an income between 40-80% of the area median incomes, have the ability to pay an affordable mortgage, and be willing to partner with us through sweat equity and participation in educational classes.
