Ribbon Cutting - Siouxland Trails Foundation

Event Description The Sioux City Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce the completion of the I-29 Riverfront Trail Connection Project. The public is invited to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9:00 a.m., October 2, 2021, at the Pedestrian Bridge at the Siouxland Expo Center parking lot (550 South Lafayette Street).

Following the ribbon cutting ceremony, the Mayor’s Trail Ride will be held starting in the Expo Center parking lot. As part of the celebration, and in partnership with the Siouxland Trails Foundation, we will be hosting  the Mayor’s Trail Ride. The family fun event  will start at the Expo Center and travel along the riverfront trail to Riverside Park and back.  There will be fun activities, food, games, and a bouncy house.  We expect the event to conclude at 12:00 p.m.   Below is information regarding the bike ride for those that are interested in participating:
Date: Saturday, October 2, 2021
Time: 9:15am-12:00pm
Ages:  All ages
Fee: $30 per family of 4 or more and $10 per person.  Fess includes a wristband to enjoy attractions at all three locations.
Locations: Siouxland Expo Center, Anderson Dance Pavilion, and Riverside Park.
