Event Description
The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) certification, only done through the Iowa DOT, applies to federally funded projects with DBE goals under roads/bridges, aviation, and transit. Being a certified DBE can enhance your company’s exposure to prime contractors, procurement officers, and the business community; however, a DBE (you) must still market your products and services to find these opportunities.
You will have an opportunity to meet with Jason Allen, Operations Supervisor for Sioux City Transit and Mary Zimmerman, DBE Support Services Program Manager for ISU CIRAS, to find out how you might qualify for free services to help you navigate future federally funded transit projects.
