Job Description


Overview

Assemble and perform preventative maintenance on company equipment (i.e., pumps, heavy duty block grinders, etc.) in company and customer locations. Assist with all construction duties at plant location. Position will be involved in hands on installation and testing of Research and Development (R&D) equipment associated with production, plant troubleshooting, and continuous improvement projects.

Responsibilities

  • Will assist with all new construction such as core drilling, caulking, framing, pulling, and terminating wires as well as the installation of new equipment. Will perform technical rigging to install and remove production and utility equipment.
  • Responsible for the assembly of all company equipment (i.e., pumps, heavy duty block grinders, etc.) Will install, dismantle, maintain, repair, reassemble, and move machinery and equipment.
  • Will perform preventative maintenance on equipment as needed. Will perform routine maintenance related to facility and equipment (i.e., air compressors and HVAC units).
  • Will work from blueprints, sketches, manuals, or oral instructions. Will be required to keep accurate and updated instructions and drawings through various revisions.
  • Deployment and inventory of parts and equipment.
  • Inspect equipment assembly for compliance with specifications.
  • Organize parts and equipment for assigned projects.
  • Will be required to learn and use a wide range of hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner.
  • May require the ability to travel overnights for various installations and projects.
  • Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills and Abilities

  • Above average mechanical aptitude servicing precision machine parts.
  • Basic electrical knowledge.
  • Knowledge and ability to maintain certification to operate various material handling equipment.
  • General knowledge of computers and software is preferred.

Demonstrated Competencies

  • Communicate effectively with all levels of employees as necessary, both in verbal and written form.
  • Good observation and analytical evaluation skills to report on, troubleshoot, and diagnose problems.
  • Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must have regular and punctual attendance.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 60lbs.
  • This position requires standing, walking, climbing, twisting, reaching, bending, and lifting.
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Experience:  Minimum of 1 year of maintenance assembly experience is preferred.
Education:  High School diploma or equivalent, or verifiable ability to perform essential job functions.
