2017 Cardinal Honor Run Becomes an Official Event of the Nebraska Sesquicentennial

The second annual Cardinal Honor Run, a 10k, 5k and Fun Run/Walk, will raise funds to provide food and shelter for Veterans and Military families of Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota. The Cardinal Honor Run is an official event of the Nebraska Sesquicentennial, celebrating the 150th anniversary of Nebraska’s statehood.

The event will kick-off the Cardinal Festival on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 7:30 a.m. This fundraising event, sponsored by Siouxland Federal Credit Union and Cardinal Days, will begin and end at Scenic Park, Riverview Dr. in South Sioux City, NE and will cross over the Missouri River on the Veterans Memorial Bridge into Sioux City.

The registration fee to participate is $30 and includes an official Cardinal Honor Run t-shirt. Individuals and teams are encouraged to register early at www.CardinalHonorRun.com.
 

Packet pick-up will be available on Friday, June 9, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Siouxland Federal Credit Union, 3000 Plaza Dr. in South Sioux City, NE.

100% of the proceeds from this event will stay local and benefit Support Siouxland Soldiers, a non-profit organization that supports our local Veterans and Military families with care-packages, housing assistance and food assistance.
