BBBS of Siouxland kicks off 2022 Bowl for Kids' Sake at the Warrior Hotel

(SIOUX CITY, Iowa) – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Siouxland is excited to kick off our 2022 Sioux City Bowl for Kids' Sake School Spirit event this weekend! Bowl for Kids’ Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters’ signature fundraiser. Every year, half a million people across America come together to have a blast in the bowling alley and raise money to support Big Brothers Big Sisters. The event starts at 3:00 PM Friday, September 16th as well as Saturday, September 17th starting at 1:00 PM, at The Warrior Hotel War Eagle Lanes located at 525 6th St. Sioux City, IA 51101.

Individuals and companies in our community have joined in on this effort to raise the money that is vital to the success of our programs. Bowling teams of 4-5 individuals each collect donations and then celebrate their fundraising success with two hours of cosmic bowling, soft drinks, and a nacho bar, with prizes and more!

"The War Eagle Lanes is the perfect place to host this event! It's a fun and friendly atmosphere for all of our supporters and participants to enjoy. We also have a match activity set up on Saturday from 1-3 PM for our Bigs and Littles in our program, so they'll get to bowl for free thanks to the help of our generous donors," said Brooke Daane, Director of Special Events and Community Partnerships. "The best part of this event is that all of the money raised goes right back into our youth mentoring programs, as well as helps cover the costs of our monthly match activities.:
