Siouxland Catholic Radio, 88.1 FM, Announces First Ever Art Festival
April 19-23
 
Theme:  Mary, Mother of God and Our Mother, a model of the perfect communicator

Who:  1st – 12th grade students (Enrolled in a Catholic school or a Catholic student enrolled in a public or home school in the Tri-State area.)

What:  Students will create a visual arts submission (using the media of their choice) to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary.  (See Guidelines on website)

Deadline for Submissions:  April 1, 2022, by 3 p.m.
Winners: 
  • A winner will be named for each grade level (grades 1-12).
    • Their art will be displayed at Siouxland Catholic Radio’s station until May 6, 2022.
    • Their art will be featured in Siouxland Catholic Radio’s 2023 calendar.  
  • Placings:        
    • Overall First, Second, and Third Place winners will be announced, as well as an Honorable Mention.  These four winners will receive a gift card.
    • Curators’ Choice: 
      • The winner will receive a certificate.
      • Receive a 1-hour private art session by one of the adjudicators.    
    • Viewers’ Choice: 
      • Viewers can vote during the Art Festival at the station.  One vote per viewer.
      • The winner will be announced on-air the week of April 25.
      • The winner will receive a certificate and a gift card.
  • A reception for the winners (with the exception of the Viewers’ Choice), their parents/guardians, and judges will be held on Thursday, April 21, during the pledge drive from 4:30 – 6 p.m.
  • The winners and judges will be guests during Thursday’s Pledge Drive.
Submissions may be dropped off at Siouxland Catholic Radio, 701 West 5th Street, March 1-April 1, 2022, Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Friday 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
