Groundbreaking at Siouxland Freedom Park

Groundbreaking at Siouxland Freedom Park

The long awaited final stage of Phase I of the development of Siouxland Freedom Park will begin on Memorial Day, Monday May 29th at NOON when the groundbreaking ceremony for the Interpretive/Visitors Center will occur at the park.

After years of volunteer efforts and coordination with contractors, vendors, and architects the newly designed 5,000 square foot building dedicated to the contributions and accomplishments of veterans of all services and generations will start to take shape.

Projected construction time puts completion of the structure late November or early December 2017. Work with the exhibit consultants will continue into 2018 with a grand opening of the center replete with displays and audio-visual exhibits projected for late Spring or early Summer 2018.
