Pants Fitting Perfection with Designer Joi!

Join Designer Joi and learn how she approaches fitting pants. Joi started pants fitting when she was 15 working in a tailor’s shop. In this class you will learn pants fitting solutions for common pants fitting issues such as:

• Learning areas of fit on the body relating to pants fitting and how to customize a pants pattern for your body
• Adjusting patterns to the individual body (how patterns should really be used)
• Making a crotch curve template.
• Making a fit sample and an in-depth look at fittings featuring real life examples
• How to take a muslin to the final stages
• Personalizing any pattern to any body
• Learn about altering Ready to Wear pants
• Learn some flat pattern design of a pants sloper
• and more . . .
• Tentative Friday Free Open Sew at the Factory to practice what you have learned all week.
• In class we will work through sample pants patterns and full size pants patterns. Students will practice on half scale and then use the application on a full size pattern if time allows each day.

Sewing Machines graciously provided by Baby Lock. All class supplies provided by Designer Joi including things like pattern paper, draping muslin and some fabrics in her studio, and you NEVER need to bring your own sewing supplies. Each workstation is supplied with all the sewing tools you need. Go on, spoil yourself — you deserve it!
